Barkers Point is on the north side of the city of Fredericton, originally a village on it's own it became part of the city in the late 70's. Today it is a quiet residential area overlooking the banks of the beautiful Nashwaak and St, John Rivers.

The Barkers Point Lions Club was formed in July 1957 and is still going strong today. The membership is made up of 17 dedicated men and women working together to help those in need as well as the betterment of the community.

During this Lionistic Year we are working hard to strengthen our club by membership retention and encouraging community members to join. "Many hands make less work" is one old adage that still applies today and with more requests for help each year we need new members and fresh ideas.
